In the future, Wicd (the VeryPluggableBackends branch) may be able to configure more than just wireless and wired networking connections. The Wicd developers do not have access to tons of hardware, so if you want to see Wicd configure other types of devices, please make a page on the wiki detailing how you set up the device and connect and disconnect using it. No promises, but someday Wicd may work with that device.
